Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She is also the head of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely acknowledged for launching the modern science of child eyewitness memories and using child victims to testify as legal witnesses. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive, she has received numerous grants, and has been the winner of many honors international and national levels. She consults with numerous countries and agencies around the world regarding policies and the research of child victimization in the court system. She is currently a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of numerous professional organizations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division as well as three divisions of Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
